Linux - Screen Share Sound Support
With Screen Sharing sound already supported on Windows, I would like Screen Sharing to be supported for Discord on Linux as well.
Gaming on Linux exists and does relatively well despite what many naysayers think or wish to believe and having this support for users such as myself would make this less frustrating.
(Not to mention that we're not even mentioned in the supported platforms art along with the other logos at the bottom of the site's webpages...)

Just found this out the hard way after switching from Windows 11 to Pop! Os. Pretty much everything else works the way it should right now after setting everything up for my streaming setup expect for this little thing.. A shame.

Then when pop os switches their desktop over to their brand new cosmic rust desktop that uses wayland you will have more problems as live streaming doesnt work at all natively on discord under wayland yet and you have to use workarounds like third party clients that break TOS
Its a shame as people continue to see what windows is doing to their customers that it makes them leave to another operating system, only to find out that companies like discord have not brought or fixed the problems on their linux client of discord. Its a shame.

Adding my support for this as well! Really annoying to pipe audio with a pass-through to my microphone.

My friends and I would also like this, now is the time to work on this! Please we want it ASAP Please pretty please :D :D

I've been struggling with sound issues during screen sharing on Linux as well. While I haven't found a perfect solution yet, I've had some success using a tool called Fix My Speaker to play sound waves and diagnose audio problems. It's helped me identify and troubleshoot various audio issues. You might find it helpful too.

Another issue I discovered is that Discord streaming doesn't work at all in the Steam Deck's game mode because it doesn't run in x11. I was able to stream non Steam games, but I suddenly ran into issues with it recently.

Looks like adding all kinds of buyable cosmetics and useless quests is more important than actually making the app work.
