Remote control in screen sharing
I think that remote control in screen sharing could be a very useful feature and I think that it's implementation could be similar to remote control in zoom screen sharing.
An example for utility of the feature could be:
When I'm playing chess at chess.com with a friend in screen sharing and want to show him a move with remote control.
Or when I want to explain to someone how to use a feature in an app.
Hope you add this!

Yes, it’s a useful feature in Zoom, and would be a useful feature in Discord

there could be more use for it : with the steam remote play not really working and epic games showing up, the local game online multiplayer niche is open. for now, we have to use anydesk or parsec to do that, but with discord, the game, steam, chrome, spotify etc, low ram computer can't afford another application.
another argument is that discord is one of the softwares used in company/team of professionals, and one of the arguments to not use discord is that we can't use remote control, and so if the customer has a Proprietary software, we have to use zoom or parsec or something else.
I reaaly hope you implement this feature, it could become one of the main strength of discord.

I would love to see this feature too. My use case is: I'm coaching a Lego Robotics team, and we're all remote now because of Covid-19 separation. I and my son have the robot in our home, and in order to let the other kids program from their homes, they have to be able to control a local app on my laptop.
Probably wouldn't be able to add this feature for this year's season, but I just wanted to let you know another use cases where it could be a great fit.

I also think this is a good idea, could be a promlem in big servers though, you would need permission from the streamer.

I agree. This is a must. Also support for remote controller input for shared games. Because sadly, Steam Remote Play is no good.

This would be so great!! I live a long way from my parents and they often help with their IT problems. It would be so much easier for me if i could have control over what is going on insted of having to explain it in 5 different ways.

I agree, I often help friends install mods like OptiFine, which don't show up in CurseForge's library, so I have to explain every little folder to make and file to add, so being able to do it myself for them would be awesome.
Thanks for reading!

I love that I searched this specifically for drawing on the chess board via chess.com and didn't even mention that and yet that's the exact use-case you mentioned.

I agree!!! We NEED keyboard and mouse sharing!! This is the only missing feature for me! I work with developers and Discord is the best app for sharing screenS (yes, plural - it's the only app I found that allows multple people to share screens at the same time) ---- BUT ... I cannot share mouse / keyboard - the one key feature I need when collaborating with my teammates.

This, 1000%. Would swap from paying for Zoom to paying for Discord if they only had this feature.

I think Zoom has only one advantage over Discord which is this feature. If you add this feature, more companies/professionals would use discord.
