My discord is in a loop of downloading and checking for updates, what should i do?

Ive been deleting discord off my pc and doing the %localappdata% stuff but every time i keep tryng to download it again it keeps going into a loop of checking for updates and downloading the updates

  Same. Downloads 5 updates every single time I launch it. Stop doing that!

  I just waited. Some say it took a couple hours, I only waited like 10 minutes. If you give up, just leave it running.
