Shortcut to edit previous text

I know you can edit the previous text with the 'up arrow' key, but you should put it, if you keep pressing the 'up arrow' key even with the typing field open, it goes back edit to the other previous word, and if you press the 'down arrow' key, make it open the field to edit the front sentence.
