Voice Feedback and Application attenuation fade

It would be nice to have a feature to check a box and have my voice feedback through the headset, this would help immensely to adjust my own volume, or be able to tell if I'm talking over people, if my sensitivity is picking up strange ambient sounds, and with my noise cancelling headphones, help me to tell if I'm talking at all and how loud since I can't hear myself talk at all.
Also application attenuation is an awesome feature, however, it needs to fade in and out. Jumping back and forth from 50 to 100% is wretchedly annoying especially if you or somebody you're talking with has a mic that keeps getting sensitivity checks that would otherwise go unnoticed or like 20 other reasons why fading in and out is superior to the current on/off format.
