Muted channel should disable notification badge
Muted channel still display notification badge if has @everyone or @here mention. I want to get rid of them when muted but there is no way to do this and it should be disabled.

Yes, please. In what world does "muted" mean "not muted"?
Workaround (but will affect entire server, not only the channel that you've muted): Disable @here notifications in the settings for the server.

Yes please. I have people who deliberately do this in channels I've muted to annoy me. I don't want to block them, I just want to not get notifications from those channels, like I specifically indicated to the client by disabling notifications for that channel and muting it.

exactly, use 'nothing' to mute notifications - often times large discord servers get spammy and users are trying to find a way to clean up their feed to only see badges on channels/servers they find useful to them. my workflow usually mutes every server i join and ONLY turn on 'all messages' on channels that are most important so i see the white dot notification on channels i want to check in on and get BADGED on channels that need my immediate attention. would also love to see discord implement a 'mute on join' default setting

Please make this update. On mobile, muted channels keep showing unread badge indicators when @everyone is mentioned (I want to keep that on for the rest of the server), which is defeating the purpose of muting the channels!

I’ve resorted to leaving many of the Discord servers I was member of. Not an optimal solution by any means, but better than getting disturbed by the badges.

Yes. This is one of the biggest annoyances of Discord. I mute a channel, set Notification Settings to "Nothing", and I still get badge notifications and have to manually go to every channel to clear it.

Issues like this staying open for 4+ years tell you two things about the Product Managers at this company:
1. They do not use the product they sell.
2.They do not have any common sense or empathy for their users.
Its a messaging product. It has to get notifications right or its trash.
