Discord Optimization for Chromebooks
I'm quite aware that the Discord web client exists. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I use on Chromebooks. I'm also aware that Linux versions are available for download, but they require activating Linux tools, which is something I'm not interested in getting into. I've also tried using the Android version, but the actions done on there don't translate quite well to Chromebooks, not to mention it lacks the convenience of the web client/desktop app.
There needs to be an app that's optimized for Chromebooks (that natively runs on Chrome OS, not in the Linux developer mode), as the web client runs terribly slow even if it's the only tab/window open on a Chromebook. Not only can you not multitask on an already underpowered device, but you can't multitask within Discord itself, ESPECIALLY if you are in a voice channel or voice call/video call, not to mention the loading and lag issues are doubled if the video has been turned on.
Changing between channels is always relatively slow and voice chats tend to lag more often, even though I'm running on 5GHz wifi. Trying to find GIFs was already hard enough on my computer, so it's made even worse here on a Chromebook. Even with a cleared history and cleared storage on the Chromebook and browser, the Discord web client still runs badly on Chromebooks.
Make an app that's specifically optimized for Chrome OS (not just regular Linux) that is able to run simple Discord tasks without slowing down drastically.

An app for Chrome OS would have to be programmed the same way as the web version. There is no official native app, but there are some unofficial ones. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/discord-desktop/keldmkejekdkhdafcidopcdjlpgecghm works great for me.
