Request: Send mobile notifications even when Windows client is running/visible and active
Currently Discord will not send mobile notifications if the Windows client is either visible or running (to make this worse, there seems to be some variation in how this works both for different people, and for example me at different times. ie it is inconsistent).
It used to work this way, but at some point things have changed (silently) and from what I can gather from support it is by design. Perhaps they are trying to manage the cost of sending mobile notifications, some transparency here would be useful too.
Unfortunately, the way it is currently working, which is that if the Windows discord client is running and you are active, let's say playing a game, you will only receive notifications on the Windows , not on mobile. BUT, I am playing a game, I either do not want to, or simply cannot in some cases, switch to the Discord client to read the message(s). Good job I have either my phone or tablet right next to me, I can read it there, right? Nope, I have Discord notifications off on the PC because I don't want it interrupting the game audio/video, but I'm not getting notifications on mobile. So I don't get messages on mobile until I finish my game and turn off the computer, at which point I get all the notifications I missed sent to my mobile. That's not saved on any notifications, you just shifted them so they all spam me at once, possibly hours after they were sent.
Friends of mine have missed messages in the same way, and long story short, this is effectively making the Windows client useless to me and others.
Please add an option (perhaps disabled to begin with), which will cause Discord to send mobile notifications whether the Windows Discord app detects activity or not (the lowest that setting goes is 1 minute, so effectively I'd like there to be an "always send mobile notifications whether activity is detected or not" option.
