Need for "What's new" or "Recent posts" option

The only way for user to check out what is new on servers he follows is to get into each channel and check manually.

There should be an option for user to easily see what is new in channels he follows in one place, options like all forums have.

When something happens in some channel, notification popup shows up, but it lasts to short. If user does not click on popup he has no way to find that new post.

So "What's new"/"Recent posts" option could at least show history of popups.

    Is there option to have this as clickable button instead having to remember hidden keyboard shortcut?
