Video call grey borders

After the last discord update (today's or yesterday's), video calls have grey borders between the participants, and it is so annoying, I can't pop them out and resize them how I like, is there a chance to revert this change? Was it even intended?

    *bump* I also noticed this. Any way to resize these borders? Extremely annoying tbh.

    Seriously is there a way to fix this?  I used to have my phone friends nice and big in portrait format while my among us was on the other size taking up the rest of the screen.  Now I get a force landscape with grey on the sides of the person.

    Sorry to necro this, but honestly this is such a step backwards in the video chat interface. I regularly video chat with my girlfriend who's on mobile in portrait and it sucks seeing the wasted space now. I can't even take advantage of a portrait monitor.
