Question About (Server) Banned Artists and Their Rights

Something I've always wondered. If an artist posts their work to a server ane gets banned for whatever reason afterwards with their art still up and outside of their control to take it down, what are the artists options? And what if the server staff explicitly refuses to take it down if requested?
