Is doing this considered DM Advertising

Is inviting people to server really DM advertising, I was told it was and that I was violating Discord Guidelines.

    If you are advertising in the dm of a user without their consent, than yes that is dm advertising. But if you were advertising in a server than no it is not.

    DM stands for direct message so inviting people in a discord server is not dm advertising
