Text Chat in Voice Channels

You know the friend that just wants to talk by text in a Voice Channel but they still want to hear everyone in the conversation? Or maybe you don't want to bother a friend in a voice channel, so you have to chat by text? Even better, a friend is streaming you want to outline a plan while in the voice chat without switching channels. An integrated text chat in a voice channel will be useful for that. Services such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft teams have a system just like that. I believe Discord should have it.

    if this existed i wouldn't have to go to a channel and then go back to the voice chat

    I use Discord in my work with a software development project and find the lack of a shared text chat a significant deficiency. Zoom, Hangouts, and most voice/video chat systems have a text channel connected to them. 

    It would probably satisfy the requirements if there was paning, like with threads.

    For others who found this request, a workaround is to pop out the video and use the operating system's paning for the case of splitting a screen.
