fix the issues with emojis in nicknames

Currently, some emojis don't display correctly when used in nicknames on Windows, and instead display as their unicode (I think) symbols on desktop even though when used in chat the emojis display fine. It not being consistent is pretty visually annoying, so maybe a change to fix that?

It's pretty low priority, but it would be nice to see this fixed! The fact not all emojis do this in nicknames can be pretty frustrating with trying to figure out what will and won't display properly, so making it all display one way or the other would be appreciated!
