Takeover the mouse and keyboard sometimes.
We sell and teach CAM industrial software for CNC machining. It is much like teaching Autocad for example. We have used other platforms like ZOOM. Lately we have been using Discord. We like the ability to see all the students' screens at once. One of our teachers does not like using it though. He said in order to teach properly, he needs to be able to takeover the mouse and keyboard of students computers sometimes to help them along. Apparently you cannot do that in Discord. We really like Discord, however we may be going back to the other system for that reason. Just wondering if you have that feature in mind for the future?

Well if I'm allowed to guess:
Discord uses screen share not remote support so probably not.Discords main focus is for gaming, isn't it?
And enabling "takeovers" would bring the need of implementing a whole new system for it.
I think there'll never be a function like this badly :/

Yes, your are right of course. It is a gaming platform. We use it for training because it does things which typical training platforms do not do. In our opinion, one of the only things missing between them and the leaders in that world is to provide teacher abilities to reach out and fix problems (takeover) the participants systems. If they did that (small or big thing), it would open up another huge market for them in training. I think they may be interested in expanding, and hopefully adding this functionality is only a matter of time. Or, as you say, maybe it never happens.
