Discord's Carbon footprint
Hi !
I'm working for a small NGO that proposes lectures and leads research projects that "promote an ecological, economic and humanist transition, on the scale of the issues that are shaking up our century", as our founder is used to say ;)
We're using on a daily basis Discord for communicating between all employees, volunteers, teachers, researchers, etc. involved in the project - and thanks for that folks !
We're currently evaluating our carbon footprint (in order to reduce it of course). So I'm trying to determine the carbon footprint of all our messages (and memes) on Discord !
The best would be some insights from the Discord Carbon footprint. Do you evaluate it ? Do you intend to ? (A kgCO2eq/GB for example would be so great)
Or at least where are located your main servers ? (And I'll give a look into the carbon footprint of the electrical grid there)
Probably that I'll also need to determine the size (in GB) of our server. Is this possible ? And how ? I can't find it :(
Thanks !
Florent
