emote shortcuts :s :z
i can't stand how when i throw in a :z in text chat or which is supposed to be like a scrunched/confused/weird face, it instead substitutes in ":unamused:" which is a spiteful antagonistic face, how on earth is :z converted to :unamused:? don't try to guess what i mean in an emoji, if i don't type :text: and see an options list of emojis, nothing i type should be auto-converted to an emoji because it ends up making what i say come off differently than intended

1000% agree. It seems like every time I'd pop down a :s I end up going "Oh right" and then editing the message to turn it into s: because honestly what choice do I have? If I wanted unamused I'd type ":unamused:"
The internet generally agrees that :s is supposed to be a confused smile and I have no idea how anyone would think it's a representation for a glare "¬_¬" or who would even use it as such except those who just use it as a shortcut for :unamused:
I had to turn off the "automatically convert emoticons to emoji" setting specifically for this one change. I get that it's kind of a failing of the unicode dictionary in not including an emoji for :s but forcing in another unrelated emoji in its place just doesn't seem like a good solution.
