Why can't I use Mark As Read in Categories when I mute the server?

I mute the server because the server message sometimes confuses me with my direct message notification. I look at the tray icon to see if the direct message has arrived.

 

However, if I mute the server, the category cannot be marked as read.Why can't I use Mark As Read in Categories when I mute the server? This is only for desktop app and browser app.

 

 

On the other hand, in the mobile app, the category can be marked as read if the server is muted.

 

 

I want this to work for desktop app too.

    Similarly, when muting a category, I can't mark the whole category as read anymore, and the notification stays until i go through all channels that have a message in that muted category, or until I unmute the category, mark it as read (and then mute it again).
