Allow us to use priority speaker with open mic
The latest post I found about this was from 2 years ago, so I decided to ask again, wether it would be possible to make priority speaker useable with open-mic-mode. It would make this feature actually usefull, because while I would love beeing able to use it, the downside of having to use Push to talk just isnt worth it. Please just allow us to make a keybind to activate priority speaker without having Push to talk. I would be very happy if you introduced this. Thanks.

I don't know how many Discord users use PTT, but my wager is that it's mostly people who have noisy environments or noisy keyboards and they use PTT to avoid annoying fellow chatters. Usually, these aren't the people who want or need their voice amplified.
This would be eminently useful for GMs and group leaders to take control of their group when they're being noisy or can't hear me.
Best Current Workaround (works for me, Discord app for Windows 10, YMMV):
- Bind both the "Toggle VAD" and "Priority PTT" to the same key (the "KB").
- Stay in Voice Activated (VAD) mode.
- Tap the KB when you need to amplify (toggle to PTT mode).
- Press/hold KB like a PTT. You will be speaking with Priority.
- Release KB when you're done talking. This triggers the "Toggle VAD" and reverts you to Normal Voice Activated mode.
This is clunky, slow, inconvenient, and may not work for everyone (especially mobile users), but after some practice with this "double-tap" motion, it's not so bad.
Devs: you can probably just use the current Priority PTT keybind to use modal functionality.

You can use AutoPTT to get voice activation for priority speaker. A short video on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7d2FQvy9-Y
