Nicknames for Direct Messages

Hey!

I think setting nicknames in direct messages would be a great new addition to Discord. My company use Discord for communications and when my colleagues direct message me instead of talking in the server channels, I sometimes have to look and check who they are (ie what role). So it would be great to add to their name something like John Smith - Marketing.

Another example is when I play online with my friends their Discord names is sometimes different to their IRL name so sometimes I forget who they are. It would be great to set a nickname as their real name.

Just a simple suggestion I thought existed but I was surprised when I tried doing it.

    I would also like to request this. Would be incredibly helpful if I can set custom nicknames for people that I talk with via direct messages so I can easily find them via search and can easily remember who they are.
    I do not believe this would take anything away from anyone's experience as an optional feature but would greatly benefit those like me who would find it incredibly helpful.
    Would really be interested to know what practical reasons there are against that.
