Background Voice Chat Addition
What if voice chat participants could switch to a background channel that enables them to communicate without participants on regular channels hearing them? When a participant is speaking, generally their username would brighten white. While in the background channel the color would instead be a cyan, or another similar color to white, but still distinct enough to tell the difference. Participants in the regular part of the chat would still see their names brighten when speaking but will not be able to hear them. On the other hand, participants of the background chat can hear both sides, but only communicate with other backgrounders. I would also be a nice touch if the regular players were automatically lowered a bit when switching to the background chat.
This is something I'd love to see implemented for gaming. If you regularly game with a group of friends online in competitive matchmaking sessions, talking to another teammate who is also already eliminated could cause your teammates to lose the match entirely. I hate having to stay quiet and not being able to immediately discuss strategy after a teammate and myself have been eliminated. This would be a great addition for competitive matchmaking.

Also there is Among Us too, I'm sure all the players there would like to be able to talk to each other after death freely so there is that.
Included a little graphic below for a visual overlay example, but changing color of text can still be done in client also.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, please comment and tell me your thoughts below.

I think it's a great idea. This could be great for custom matches in plenty of games, just as a relevant example: among us players could have a layered/background VC for the imposters to exclusively chat in, bots could utilize this to play different songs in the same VC so that the server isn't cluttered with different VCs for music; there's all sorts of applications for it.
