Replies and quotes aren't the same thing

Recently the reply feature got added to Discord. I don't want to talk about my opinion on this but rather about the needless replacement of the quote feature.

As far as my understanding goes, quotes and replies don't have the same function.

Replies are meant to answer a single person with a single message of theirs, while quotes are more meant to react to a certain line they said or also to multiple messages at once.

I don't see why one needed to replace the other, so I'd ask for quotes to be added back in.
