Reply feature bug

I was in one of my servers talking with my friends and one of my friends said she was going to mute the channel as it was a spam channel, there were no hard feelings as this is completely reasonable.

I tried to I reply to it however the message was deleted. It came up with this message from Clyde, this message in particular can only be seen after trying to private message somebody and it failing. 

Also for the record, direct messages were on from that user, we were friends and could direct message each other fine.
