50000 ping

my friend uses discord with me everyday sometimes he gets 50000 ping for no reason and he cant hear or talk his icon freeze green no voice comes out , even if he login using the phone app it still the same , the only way to fix it if he keeps disconnect and rejoin multiple times till it fix it self and it may happen again anytime can anyone help with this ?
