Add Official Polls to Text Chat

I would love to see a polls feature become officially supported in Discord's text channels. Asking a question and then using emoji to vote on a topic is too clunky and can easily be derailed by trolls. An official polls system similar to the one that Twitter uses is something that I've wanted to see in Discord for years.

    This! This is what discord needs, and it can be done with permission, or other settings such as not letting others see results unless they say its ok there are so many things that could happen here

    I agree with this entirely. I also think adding a time limit to the poll could help with quick/timed decisions.

    IMO it'd be incredible to see polls come to Discord.
    I genuinely think that it'd be really awesome that (if they had a poll system) that you could make quick/timed polls (like you said earlier). If they were to add those, I think it'd be cool if we could get notifications for quick/timed polls, that way people can see a quick poll without missing it. It'd be genius to add a feature where you could vote on a quick poll from a lock screen, just in case you just got the notification and wish to vote really quick.

    I think polls have a huge amount of potential in Discord.
