Discord Could Become a Streaming Service.

Twitch is known to be a not so great company with tons of inconsistencies in how they handle their TOS and a DMCA problem that is getting out of control. Facebook and YouTube aren't bad options, but both sites are simply updating too slowly to be viable competitors to Twitch.
I'm suggesting that Discord become its own streaming service.

Discord screensharing is already really well done. The quality is actually better than Twitch, from the last time I compared. You can even set Streamlabs to run as a virtual webcam and use your entire Twitch/ YouTube stream setup in Discord for private streams. Viewers can type in a text chat while you're live and the experience is good.

This should go to the next level. Underneath the lists of servers we are in, there could be a "LIVE" button that allows people to browse public livestreams, that aren't streaming to a specific channel - but to the public. People would be able to join in, and then have a single text chat they could type in while watching the streamer. You could implement features such as subscriptions and ways to donate like Twitch has. Discord Nitro could include a free user channel sub every month! Discord would get percentages of this.

The person streaming could maybe have a new "live" style profile that appears in this tab for discovering where past videos are stored (or not) and you can find info about them. Streamers could easily have Discord channels integrated so people could jump straight into their own personal servers.

Make the rules simple and not overly strict. Allow servers marked as 18+ to have more leniency, (obviously nothing sexual). Expand Discord to be more than just gaming and have sections for chatting or music streams.

To make it fully compete with Twitch, you could make all of this work on the website - something like Discord.TV where no account is needed to simply browse.

I understand this is something that could take years to develop, but EVERYONE!!! already has Discord! We all use it as our primary messaging app. Streamers ALL have Discord servers as is.

So many of us are tired of Twitch's awful treatment and know that you are a better company.
Discord, we need you to step up and give us the true streaming platform we all deserve.
