ALL sound mutes, except for system sound when i individually edit someone's volume

Just like the title suggests. Dude is very quite, so i change his volume from 100% to 150%. Upon doing so ALL sound from discord, and Ark (the game i was playing during these tests) gets muted to. I have tried DOZENS of methods of troubleshooting, and probably read for 3 hours of various posts with similar issues to try and identify what's wrong with my setup. I haven't been able to figure it out. My ONLY solution for restoring discord sound, & Ark sound are as follows. Discord -> Voice & video -> Reset voice settings. Doing this reverts ALL of my settings and custom settings for individuals. To restore ARK sound i have to exit the game, and reopen the game. WTF discord? why is this happening? why does everything get muted by discord when i SLIGHTLY modify a individual????
