Do the devs care?
I love discord. It's a great program. It's very reliable and well put together. But I feel there are many features that would greatly benefit users, and some that really should already be implemented within a program of this long standing. There are many features I'd love to have that I have searched for ways to do, just to find out that it's not possible. Not only is it not possible, I've found that others have asked the devs to implement these changes years ago.
We're now at a point where we have extensions and bots to do multitudes of things. But even with that, there are things that are even restricted to that extent. So we can't even use our bot to change our font to a hexidecimal color even by using embeds. This may seem like a small thing, but this should be an obvious inclusion by the time this program is 6 years old. This was first suggested at least 2 years ago, but I'm guessing it was first brought up long before that. I know this may seem like a small thing, but it's a very basic function that I think most users would like to have. At the very least it should be a nitro function or have it usable in embeds. And it is only a basic example. I've seen this happen with almost every discord feature I've tried to research.
Now, I'm left to wonder if the devs are just understaffed and can't handle the demand or if they don't care. Perhaps the ideas I've searched up aren't as popular as I would believe, but I would find that specific one hard to imagine not being talked about over and over again. That's why I used that specific example. Is there a reason every feature I would like to see implemented in discord has been stalled out for years?
