Temporary notifications for channels

Just like the mute options for channels, which gives you the option to mute a channel for:

  • For 15 minutes
  • For 1 Hour
  • For 8 Hours
  • For 24 Hours
  • Until I turn it back on

Having this, but to turn on notifications of a specific channel would be really handy. I realize this can be done in notification settings, but not temporarily, like how mute works.

When you are on 50+ Discord servers (thank god for folders!), it would be really handy to follow a certain conversation, or see if someone replied to a message you sent. Instead of getting notified when you do not want to be notified, because you forgot to turn them back off.

    Similar to this, it would be interesting if someone server-side could ping someone for a temporary time. Basically if the ping was set for 10 minutes, then if the post was viewed after 10 minutes the ping would be removed, like @here when you're offline.

    Old post, but I 100% agree with this. This would be amazing for someone like me who tends to lurk in a lot of servers.
