Pasting formatted text on word processors
Currently it's impossible to paste text from Discord with the original formatting (both italics/bold and paragraph separation wise). I have tried on Word, Google Docs, Shaxpir, Focus Writer and many other programs and the text always gets messed up. Solving this issue would be perfect especially for role-players and writers who sometimes post their pieces on Discord.

This would be a very nice QoL improvement! In Google Docs, even when copying from Discord desktop, almost ALL of the formatting comes along -- including the paragraph background color, strange hanging idents, and so on. But bizarrely, this does NOT preserve manual line breaks (shift-enter) within messages. I've gotten pretty fast at stripping out the formatting I don't want, but it is time-consuming to manually reconstruct paragraph breaks. (Not as time-consuming as hunting down italics and bolding etc., though, which is what I have to do if I paste without formatting [Ctrl+shift+V].)
Alternatively, it would be nice to be able to export a log of a chat (specifying beginning and ending messages maybe?) with some formatting preserved (and also images/emoji?) There are probably already tools that allow this, but having it integrated would be nice.
I could see this being useful not only for roleplayers who are doing longform writing in Discord, but also for organizations who want to keep chat transcripts from meetings and discussions.

Yes! I for one tend to prefer copying them to Shaxpir since it doesn't have the change colors function. All text you past is black on the default background you get. It's still time consuming to recreate the paragraphs and hunting down italics/bolds, especially on large chunks of text.
Another thing I noticed is that you can't copy multiples messages at once without time & date and number of reactions coming together. It can be kinda bothersome some times too.
Just, anyone who depends on the copy & paste functionality would greatly benefit from some changes.
