Mass deleting all messages

I think there should be a way to mass delete your own messages, at the very least upon account deletion. There should be an option as you delete or de-activate your account that gives you the option to purge your messages, with the option to include or exclude media files. Having those messages exist even after the account is gone defeats the purpouse of deleting the account in the first place. And even from my own situation, I want to get rid of some shameful things I was convinced to send in my past. But as long as this feature is not implimented those things will constantly linger. Does anyone else feel the same way about the mass deletion?

    yes lmao, would like to forget the time i used to use "uwu" unironically.  though maybe it would be abused by jerks who don't want the things they've said to be screenshot or sumn like that. either way, you get my upvote.

    Or at least to be able to delete the whole chat from my part so I wouldn't be able to see any of the messages I've had with a certain person
