Add a slider for the resizing of emojis

Like...come on. I'm just glad they're not huge on mobile otherwise one message is gonna take up the whole screen.
Give us the option of tiny, small, medium, big - then people can decide per server.

I absolutely love the new big emojis! It's great when you have character emojis that normally you couldn't see very well! I was so happy they were bigger!
BUT I do agree that there should be an option to change the size of how emojis (AND TEXT!!!!!) appear. It would only be beneficial to do so.0 -
There are plenty of bot options to make emojis display in a large size if you can't see them. There's no reason the emojis need to be so absurdly large, they are emojis -- meant to be quick, simplistic images that quickly portray a message or emotion.
I've never even commented on one of these forums before, but I am about this change because it's ridiculous. The chat looks just like spam now when I post emojis, I feel like I need to include text each time I use one just to make them reasonable.
Please change them back or offer a sizing option. People that need glasses can turn the size up and the rest of us can live our lives in peace.

if you still have all your original emote files, use nearest neighbor/point filter scaling to enlarge them, then reupload them

that's a good specific use solution nutchapol (replying to https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360054840331/comments/360008360251) but how can we know that this current emote size will stay the same? or, that we have access to/contact with all servers that people have contracted out emojis for, and that people involved will upload the new files? (i know, that's hardly a big concern for most, but again: if my only source of income was drawing pixel art emotes, i'd be really concerned with wanting my living portfolio to display 'right' wherever i can)
i'm not going to act like this is an impossible thing to fix or that pixel artists are a high concern for discord (there's... really not many of us tbh) but when we have no idea what scaling algorithm they're using to resize, or what the 'displays at' size is, it's just pointless frustration when they COULD provide specific documentation (tell us px size on the upload page, have guides for sizing correctly, etc) and/or communicate to us in a message like "hey, next week we're going to try out a new size change, emotes will now be xx" and/or give us the option to show large or small emotes1 -

I agree with this, the big emotes make me really uncomfortable.
Smaller ones don't take up as much space, and they don't look like
they're after your soul.

This is an awful change. Please allow me to at least have an option to change the sizes locally. One Emoji now takes up 3 lines of text.

There's already many suggestions that want this same thing, with some having like 80 or 90 upvotes. So for now we just have to hope that Discord understands that we want it, and then hopefully they give it to us.

I agree!! At the very least, I'd love the option to change the size of the emojis in my window. I know there are people who like them huge, but it really bothers me that they are as big as they are. So just an option to make them the same size as the text as well as an option for large emojis would be amazing!

The emojis are way too big now, and they look silly. ALSO, they are WAY TOO CLOSE to the above and below lines of text. In some cases, they are actually basically TOUCHING the above or below line of text/emoji.

Holy shit making emoji's massive is a horrible idea. Having them 3 times the size of a normal chat line way BEYOND what they should be. They should never be bigger than the user selected scaling chat. You know sort of like the example in the setting. https://i.imgur.com/btCwFnD.png If people want to see emoji's that big then make a scaling option. Not this.

I agree, the new large emojis look really out of place and take up too much space on my screen on mobile. The update was fine on desktop but for mobile it seems a bit much... The choice would be great.

yes please, there are certain emotes i dont actually want to see and i couldnt see them very well when they were small. Really dislike HAVING to have the big ones

When you do the slider, please allow it to get as low as 0px. Zero. Off. No emojis whatsoever for those who really does not like them (myself included).
IDK who thought that some pictures in a chat should be bigger than text, but that's a terrible idea. Like a picture book for 3yo kids who cannot read much.

My discord app updated today. With the update, new emojis were added, but now they have become VERY HUGE.

Personally big emojis are why I wake up in the morning, but a slider would be very nice option

The emoji simply don't have enough room, scaling them down by 20% and keeping line height the same would be much nicer IMO.
