Auto-word Notifications

The idea is that you can create a list of "trigger-words" that would then send you a ping to let you know that the word has been said. For example, you could set your name as a trigger word, and get notified every time you're mentioned. Or you could set the title of a movie or show you like and get notified so you can join the conversation as soon as you can.

(Personal tangent on why this would be useful:)
I know that people can just create roles that would get pinged if people wanted to talk about it in a big group, but it rarely ever happens. I think it would just be easier to manage notifications this way, because then you're not getting pinged in all of the group chats for every topic that you like at 20 pings a minute because you can't mute the chat since you wanna talk about something specific too and you're just waiting for the right ping. And obviously, most people aren't in mod positions to even make the call to make a specific chat for a topic, so all you can do is deal with it and hope someone mentions it when you're around. Otherwise you're hitting CTRL+F to search whatever it is and maybe you missed the conversation by a day and the topic is already well gone.Or someone just brings you up and you didn't know because they didn't ping you, they just mentioned you, but you still would've liked to have said something in response.

It would probably even help moderators set up a system to keep certain language from sitting in their chats for too long without someone noticing if it's a big enough server. It would help with modding slurs and other hurtful words too if you don't want to use bots or the hardcore modding features.

    I would use this. I'm on a server that is the staff chat for a niche social media site. Sometimes Stuff Happens, and in addition to being pingable by role, there are words I potentially want to be roused from sleep by. Because it's social media, in addition to tech support issues, the customer service crew gets reports of users in peril every now and then. There's a robust phone tree, but for reports like those, I want every backup possible. Those situations aren't always discovered by people with training on how to handle it (such as friends of the user in peril).

    Why does this have downvotes with no comments? I'd love to have this feature. I'm on a server where people offer up ingame items that go pretty quickly. I'd love to be able to be pinged as soon as one of the items is mentioned so I can bid asap

    This is a huge QoL for me. For example:

    - Being a modder of a game, release a mod "myMod"

    • Be pinged whenever people talk about it, or
    • Be pinged whenever "myMod" gets mentioned along with "bug", "crash", or similar in the same message

    - Being a normal user

    • Be pinged whenever someone mentions my nick (not via @), or
    • Be interested in a topic, add a word "cats" to my ping list.
