Get rid of "global ban" bots

Hey, I'm a developer of a global ban bot and would like to reason why they should not be banned.

"No. This is an unfair practice, and shouldn't be allowed. There are no "raiders" in Discord anymore, raiding is against Discord's rules. "

Just because there are rules, doesn't mean everyone follows them. I know a lot of servers that get raided quite often, and these servers in specific benefit massively from my bots.

"There should be like, ban sync bots for admins of multiple servers, but probably not global ban bots unless they have a fair appeals system"

If a bot doesn't have a ban appeals system (or at least a good one), that's just a bad bot. Just because some bots don't add these features doesn't mean they should be completely banned from discord.

"it's basically as if these bot owners can restrict people's access to many parts of Discord"

This is just word play. There are millions of discord servers, and these bots are usually only in a few thousand. This really is not significant.

"I was wrongfully globally banned from that bot years ago"

Speak to the bot developers, and appeal the case. There are always people you can contact about it.

Global ban bots can also have other features that are amazing for protecting your server, not just globally banning.

You wouldn't be saying this is a big household name bot like dyno or mee6 added this feature, would you?

Any questions feel free to ask.

Bots just like Servers are made by and for users.
If a server owner uses a bot for the global ban purpose than that is their choice.
I personally don't think Discord should have a say in what a server/bot does as long as it follows TOS.

    Talk to the bot/server owner

I absolutely agree to stop global-ban bots, thus, those people who make global-ban bots usually global-ban you by their purposes and not for breaking the ToS. It's unfair that they have so many servers that uses them. It may prevent bad people for (for exemple) try to spam/raid but most of the time you get global-banned for stupid reason. + it is not THEIR job to punish people, any one who got spammed/raided should make a ticket to the Discord Staff. There is a lot of people thinking the same thing. Stop global-ban bots abuses.

These bots are used to truly used against raiders, and you have to request a ban and provide legitimate proof for it to be considered. This isn't really against the ToS (as i know of) due to its not like its a bot that nukes your server and bans all your members. It is the server owner's choice to use these bots, and its not like discord requires this in every server. You can choose to use these bots, and thats at your own choice. Sometimes their are appeal systems, but there is a even better solution I want to introduce everyone here to. Its simple.

    STOP RAIDING

THEN U WONT GET UR NAME IN THE GLOBALBAN LIST!

does it seem that hard not to raid?

if so, just delete your account so you can save discord from disabling it.

Yeah I said one word and got put on it to ruin someones service they pay for meaning your console subscription and games you buy shouldn't be the choice of a discord server owner. never violated TOS

Hi, i am a simple person that plays mudae. You know, mudae is a game bot that you need to play consecutively. So i was playing that in a server, maybe a little bit fast because there is a cooldown to take the characters. I didn't knew that there is a bot named Gaius Cicereius can ban you for spamming in a chat. I wasn't doing anything except playing some games. Am i banned globaly for this? Do you know someone that can help me? I don't know much about discord. :/

No no you have to join the bot support server. Discord has no action on that.

The problem is that these bots are used to prevent raiders, they arent going to do that because *someone* got in those bot's list by accident.

No. This is an unfair practice, and shouldn't be allowed. There are no "raiders" in Discord anymore, raiding is against Discord's rules.
