Discord on Firefox Browser lagging
Terrible lag since Firefox 71.0 update? Almost unbearable.
Also for some reason, can't right click, it just becomes disabled after some time.
Edit:
I did what Ryan stated, Turned off Enhanced Tracking protection and it DID help a bit but hasn't got rid of the monumental lag. Still a pain.
Double edit:as of 1/30/20
Turned off the beta feature in the settings under Text and Images
(preview emojis, mentions, markdowns...)
Also theirs been an update to FF 72.0.2 (64bit) and I haven't had any trouble since.
NEW EDIT 5/18/22
Newer FF updates have again messed up Discord
God speed, there are some good suggestions in this thread that could still work, but it's still messed up

I've been having this issue as well. But I can also confirm it's nothing to do with Firefox (or at least not an update to Firefox), as I was running Firefox 69.0 when I started experiencing this issue. I actually updated the browser to the latest version today, hoping it would fix the issue, but it's the same, if not worse.
The lag is especially terrible for me when typing, and will frequently cause the tab to go unresponsive. The cursor also moves without me moving it, and I have to switch servers to stop this from happening. Like you said, I cannot right click at all. Which is annoying especially with the spell check.

Same here. I've had the occasional issue, but not this bad since this past 2 weeks or so.
Try turning off Firefox's "Enchanced Tracking Protection" for Discord (top left of the URL bar). It seems to help.3 -
Same, it's been quite horrible, even with firefox's enhanced protection turned off. The typing lags occasionally, and moving my cursor, especially with hover elements makes discord lag, which also makes the rest of my browser lag as well.

It could be Discord's new editor thing, try turning it off in Discord > Text & Images > Disable "Preview emojis, mentions, and markdown syntax as you type. BETA"

Oh man, thank you so much. This has been plaguing me for a while now, and shutting off that setting does seem to have alleviated it upon a bit of testing.

For me it is recently, extremely slow. I tried the solutions above. But it still takes a second or two to do anything. Changing channels is a nightmare. Also, it seems to get worse after I leave it open for a day.

Still an issue, please investigate :(

Discord was unusable on Firefox 72.02 (running Arch Linux 5.4.15). Slowdown especially anytime I'd upload a picture.
I switched to the nightly build and everything works smooth as silk, now I don't need to open a chromium instance just for discord.
Give it a try. Might work.
