Easier way to swap output device(or a notifications to a different output device)?
I have both headset and speakers plugged in. Usually, i have sound go through my speakers most of the time. If i set speakers as a default in Discord - i have to switch it to headset every time someone is calling me all the way through settings. If it's sent to headset(while i'm on speakers) - i usually miss calls and notification sounds(obviously). Or when i'm in the server voice channel, but no one is there yet - i prefer to use speakers and may miss the moment person pop-in.
So in addition to switching a device in Windows, i have to switch in Discord too. Not much work, but...having a button or a drop-down menu somewhere in the main UI would be nice.

This would be nice in macOS too. Perhaps the Top Secret Control Panel could be expanded to include ways of changing input/output devices in addition to the (redundant) mute/deafen toggles that are there. I have a wired headset, and I'd like to be able to step away from my computer but still be able to hear what's being said.

I need this on Windows. Would love to know if anyone knows anything now, a lot changes in a year.

Still looking for this!
Really annoying to go through settings when I just want to toggle it inputs/outputs3 -
Had same here. Why is discord use as default "Default communication device" in Windows.
I will describe the case, I've got display with speakers and had headphone. I can hot switch between them from bottom bar on windows, but it only change "Defualt device" not "Default communication device". When I change these device, I've prefer to listen entirely sounds from choosen device
