Preview emoji's, mentions, markdown should stay but be always optional

It's good but I personally don't like it. This is a good feature and should be kept optional to appeal to all users. Even possibly make each part of the preview it's own slider would be even better.

  this, it's really disorienting to be typing and have your text suddenly change because of adding formatting or an emoji... i think some people might like it, but i personally really Do Not, so having it remain optional would be a good idea imho

  They are optional.  User Settings -> Text & Images -> Preview emojis, mentions, and markdown syntax as you type.

  yes, but discord might not keep them optional, which i think is what this feedback is about
