In my chat, there was a message saying nothing. It was sent from a non-named person with the Discord icon, (Default,) and said it was from December 31, 1969. Anyone know why?

    That's when the epoch started. Computers count time from January 1st, 1970. It probably means the time wasn't found.

    I have same issue, but it is server and this type is only on one channel while the other channels do find the time. By the way, if you say that theory, then do you know how to fix it?

    Estaba en una llamada con un amigo mío y cómo de costumbre Discord se me lagueaba (no puedo escuchar, se detuvo el audio de repente) y yo salí de la llamada para que se detenga el retraso, cuando me aparece el mensaje con una fecha 31 / 12/1969, seguimos investigando de qué trata la fecha pero no sabemos qué es. _.) De hecho, le eh sacado captura de la llamada con la fecha y con las búsquedas que estamos haciendo, aún así, no tenemos respuestas; -;) "

    was making a bot, and exactly at 1:01 am, when it responded to a command, it did this, but instead of a no pn named user, its like the "1 new message since december 31st, 1969"

    It happened to me too. I was in the lunime server, in the gacha memories channel. I send "nostalgia rush" and a link to a gacha video on yt. The link message did that. Then it disappeared before anyone else saw it. At least I got screenshots

    A similar thing happened to my friend but it said december 31, 2014 and i think it was because discord started counting time from the beginning of 2015.

    Same thing just happened to me. I sent a drawing of a demon me and my friends have been seeing that we call smiley. It was in the MVperry art server, i got a screenshot of it. The thing is, it sent a photo of a live capture that was sent from another account FIVE MINUTES LATER. No words, just the picture, december 31st, 1969 at 7:00PM when it was past ten pm. Dm me if you want the screenshots😐

    For me it happens to me every single time I call someone on my S10. Before it establishes how long I've been on call with them for, it'll just say 12/31/1969 kinda dope I guess.

    Discord support told me the same thing that mwalden said, when it happened again I forgot about the discord support/help answer, so I asked my friend who is good with computers and stuff, and they said the same, personally I just find it odd because each time(2) there was no new message, but that could be put off as it showing up later because it was looking for the time, I'm no expert but as I said, I was told the same thing that mwalden said by both discord support and my tech savvy friend
