Vertical / Portrait monitor layout
Today the three column layout does not work well with portrait/vertical monitor layouts. This is a monitor layout that one might think would be ideal for Discord but sadly it's not. In my case the minimum Discord width is actually too wide and goes outside the monitor bounds unless I use the maximize window feature in Windows.
Attached is a screencap of todays Discord layout, then a quick mockup I did for a 2 column layout.
As you can see the chat text layout is improved a lot.

exactly the problem i'm facing now...
discord is almost useless in portrait mode... :(
