Emergency Mental Health/Care Option

Hey!

Following a really nice discussion I had with a 'Devemer' from Discord Support, I feel like having a little focus on mental health and welfare would be a brilliant thing for Discord to do.

I myself go through depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I can only imagine how great it would feel to open up Discord some day and get a dialogue box telling me that things will be okay.

With the use of IP, it would even be possible for the tech team to include some hotlines for the persons home country. This could be something such as suicide prevention hotlines such as The Samaritans or trusted online things such at 7cups. Just a little something to help the users.

I know not everyone has mental health struggles, and I'm not suggesting that this should be a daily occurrence every time you open your app, but if this helps even one person.. that's a win. I don't see the harm in something like this. Discord always has a nice way of conveying messages in a warm, friendly and funny way (such as the simply amazing PR videos). I know they could nail this and maybe even save some lives. Discord always looks out for their users, and this seems like an even better way of doing that.

Yeah, really this platform is good to release mental depression. You have covered things in a very nice way. I am also finding such websites and finally found Discord.

Finally some help with this. You have no idea how traumatizing it can be to be in a vc trying to stop someone from committing suicide. I'm still haunted after over 2 years
