Suggestion: Let bots edit user posts
This may have been asked before, but I think this deserved serious attention.
It should be possible for bots to do some basic edits to user posts, such as to replace text or add a rich embed, in response to a user's post. For example, if a user writes some custom markup for an item from a video game, the bot will replace the markup with the item's localized name and add a rich embed to the post with the item's details.
This can also be used for basic moderation, such as to detect words or phrases that the server owner doesn't want used and have it replaced with something more acceptable.
By extension to this, there should be some kind of permission to allow users to edit other people's posts, such as a moderator or server admin. Currently our only option is to delete posts, or demand that other users edit their own posts.

While I see the administrative benefits, this would bring serious problems. A user message should belong to the author and the author only. Changing this would bring too much possibility of abuse, because bots (and therefore other users that use/design these bots) could make it appear as if someone said something they didn't.
