I've seen other people addressing this and some also with solutions. And I bring my own solution to the table. Send a text message to your phone with an extra code. You're already on your phone anyway so it wouldn't take to much time but would prevent the ongoing scams.

    This probably would not be the most feasible option, since some people may be using a tablet to log in, or using a phone that doesn't have a SIM or phone number.
