Permission Inheritance

Roles: Some role permissions shouldn’t inherit to higher roles e.g. currently if someone has manage roles on any role it allows them to manage roles below their highest role (even if it doesn’t have the permission). Mainly for permissions like:

  • Mute & deafen members
  • Kick & ban members
  • Manage roles & messages

 

Channels: Higher roles should override lower ones for allowed and denied permissions (e.g. a role with denied reactions above one with allowed should result in it being denied as currently it would be allowed)

    I believe this was the old system and they changed it. Wouldn't hold out for it to come back
