  Please clarify.
  
  If you mean delete messages, you can right click or hit the 3 dots on the side of the message, then hit Delete.
  
  If you mean to close the DM tab, you can hover over their name (or as such if it's a group), and hit the X. They will be gone until either they message you, or you message them via their profile. (In this case, message history will NOT be deleted.)
