Play Imgur sounds

Many newer clips on Imgur have sounds but the Discord app does not play the sounds if I put a link to the Imgur clip in Discord. The images work but no sound unless you click to go to Original image.

This request is to enable the ability to hear the sounds within the app when an Imgur video is playing.

    Really want this too. Sharing clips from our Rocket league sessions where reactions is half the fun, this would be great. Don't want it to autoplay with sound, but a toggle on the vid itself would be AMAZING!

    Same here.  It's silly that Discord can't detect when a video posted to Imgur has sound.

    Same here. Recently realized Streamable clips get deleted so I figured Imgur would be the best alternative to quickly share video with audio via ShareX.

    ...And seconds after posting that message, I found out we can right click the image > Unmute and it'll play audio. Amazin.
    Hope that's useful, tho I wish there was a speaker button so it's obvious.
    Or just unmute by default and play on hover/click.

    I'm guessing this hasn't been addressed on purpose, because it will encourage people to buy Discord Nitro (increased upload size). Hopefully they can see the value in addressing this quality of life issue though.

    "Encourage Nitro" doesn't make sense. No way I'm going to download everything just to upload it again but to Discord when it already embeds when I share it. Especially not when on mobile. I've just turned off embedding because it doesn't work properly, Nitro or not.

    i like the bandwidth argument as well in that video. do your part to help save  bandwidth discord, make those play control buttons work!!!

    I assume this is just laziness on Discords part. Cause you literally just turn on controls for the imgur video and it works.
