Prevent mouse from influencing emoji selection window when not being moved

When I type :xx and the list of emojis pop up, it would be great if it defaulted to the most used emoji top of the list instead of where the mouse is positioned as it takes up such a large portion of the screen. It's pretty counter intuitive typing :xx, hitting tab to auto-fill emoji, then having to delete what was selected, re position the mouse out of the emoji popup window, then retype what I was typing. It would be great if the emoji selection was only influenced by the mouse once the mouse was moved as that wouldn't hinder people who were using the mouse for their selection. Might be a niche problem but it surprisingly comes up a lot.
