Serious UX/accessibility flaws in latest update (actual feedback)
Please revert/change the latest changes. It has some serious UX/accessibility flaws.
The constant flashing that happens on the screen (the darker background on messages when hovering, as well as the new reaction panel) can be seriously distracting and uncomfortable for some people.
This, combined with the removal of the line separators between the messages and the absolutely tiny spacing between the reaction buttons and the message itself, makes Discord very uncomfortable to use for a lot of people right now.
I get that some of the new features, like the new reaction panel, might be useful to some people, but please provide it as an option in the app settings so that everyone can use the app comfortably to their liking.

Make it optional please.

I completely agree with your feedback, drcd.
There's a lot of flaws with the new UI that gives a lot of discomfort. I don't even think we mind a lot of the UI updates, at least, I don't, but I don't care for an entire overhaul with out taking into the account of those with disabilities. While Discord is very accommodating with disabilities, unfortunately, these updates do not account for that.

I know multiple people who will be unable to use discord as much with the new changes, it's such a huge UX/Accessibility problem. Please @Staff give us the ability to revert to the old way of displaying things.
