Regarding the UI change on Discord.
This is my first ever post on the "support" section of Discord, and with good reason too. Discord has been a very nice platform for me to chat with my friends, and most of the changes, while initially I had some few nitpicks about some of the graphical changes in icons or any other items of the same category, they later grew on me and I don't particularly see any problem with it anymore. These types of changes were never that drastic, and they were minimal to the point of me not even noticing them after a while, and I was content that the dev team was reasonable enough to do changes that, while still being new, wouldn't exactly corrupt the flow of the app and make things look out of place. But unfortunately enough... Not everything is set in stone. And today's UI update drastically changed my opinion of Discord as a whole.
Not only does a complete overhaul of the UI to change overnight without any notice for the community and its users sound bad enough, but the fact that some of the design decisions are not the smartest really just makes this feel like the Discord dev team just slapped us in the face. When I logged on today, I felt something rumble on my stomach and almost rise halfway through my throat. I will be very direct with what I think of the UI here. It. Looks. Bad.
There was no demand for this. Yet they did it anyways. I couldn't see anyone jumping of happiness because of this update. It's clearly seen as a bad update. So why not reverse it?
Hell, at least give us the option between old and new, and I will be happy about it. Nothing more, nothing less.

agreed. this is really gross and i hope we can choose to revert, at least clientside.
