The new hover bar
-is a massive step back. It mars the clean and sleek interface you fine folks at discord once created, for one, but it also gets in the way of reading messages. People naturally hover over text to keep track of what they are reading. I use reactions maybe once every two weeks. I don't need a shortcut for them to cover up a long paragraph or get in the way whenever I have search open.
Give us the option not to have random tat on the screen if we don't want to. It should probably be off by default, really. I don't think the majority of people want this - it's specifically for people who communicated mainly by emojis, emoticons and short, curt messages. Not exactly the main demographic I don't think.
Edit: The option to turn it off, does not, in fact, exist. It disappears only if you disable emojis entirely.

Yes, I have just noticed a post in the previous topic that stated you can..under text and messages for some reason? I looked under 'Appearance' and assumed there is none after finding nothing. Neither emoji nor hover bars are text-related, and the only thing the latter has to do with messages is getting in their way. Why would you put that there?

if you turn it off you won’t be able to reaction aat all

What? Seriously? It's tied to the old emoji on/off switch? Jesus.

Exactly, this option. Also now you can't copy direct url from attached videos

I used the copy url option quite a lot, I hope I won't have to use the browser version to get links from now on

Please make them separate disable i hate having that popup at the top right of every message, but i still wanna be able to emote.

I believe if they highlighted the message and popped up the reactions only when hovering around the far-right portion of the screen, it would make it a lot more tolerable. But even with this small change, why fix something that isn't broken?

Yeah not the biggest fan. Perhaps have this hover menu show up if holding down a modifier key?
Highlighting an entire bar of text when hovering simply feels clunky. Hover highlighting I feel as though feels better with buttons rather than plain text.
