New Discord look - please revert

I haven't even gotten my discord updated yet, but my friends' has. Nobody that I've talked to thus far likes it, and if you don't want to revert the changes entirely, I would like to request an option in "Appearance" to revert back to the visuals of discord before.

    Bass, i'm still able to? With the hover ... option, there should be an option highlighted in red with a trash can

    Either way though, I don't like the change with that either- it should be an accessibility option because I get some people may want a bigger option thats easier to read, but it's distracting as hell

    The highlight while mousing over, emoji bar and message spacing between messages from the same user have not improved the experience at all. Discord now feels cramped and messy when I check it. If you must keep the new spacing for whatever reason. Sure, that can be gotten used to. But please at least allow a toggle for the darker highlight when mousing over messages and the emoji bar. Both are simply distracting and horrid to look at.

    The problem is
    there is no ... option

    there is no red trash can button

    discord is now broken on my web browser, it's the only version I use.

    I'm seriously considering just boycotting it until they fix it, by reverting it back to the way it was before.

    I think it may just be your browser than- both me and a friend tried it, we have a ... option right next to the emoji menu

    This new update is overly crowded, the missing grey divider bars between messages makes everything feel cramped and the options to alter spacing have done absolutely nothing to fix it. Messages now reach lower on the screen than they should, making it annoying to read them. While the highlight over the message you're hovering on is nice, the emoji react thing is overly annoying and gets in the way. Web browsers can't delete messages for some reason as well?

     

    This update was poorly thought out and essentially turned the cozy mode into compact with icons which is not what anyone wanted at all. Cozy mode is no longer cozy at all.

    If these people don't revert discord back, we should start a boycott until they fix it

    We don't need to stand for these changes if we don't agree with them, we need to make our words heard!

    The new spacing is a bit annoying, but it's not too bad. I could get used to it. The reactions thing is ugly and unnecessary. Please add an option to revert to old UI.

    IDK what browser you are using Bass44. Firefox?

     

    Chrome browser has the line edit buttons.

    So does Edge.

    But the suggested quick emojis are different. Why?

    If no ellipsis menu option is your problem, Discord will undoubtedly fix it.
    If spacing is your problem, you can change this in the Discord settings:

    If the highlighted message upon mouse-hovering is your problem, that's on you. This is a vastly superior feature for wide screen Discord. Being able to tell which message you're about to delete easily is very welcome. I do however agree that more customization options is always better so if they made this toggle-able then good on them.
    I don't see a problem with this update. It's good.

    I do not mind the new look, however the broken ellipsis menu is very annoying. The behavior is inconsistent, sometimes it would show, sometimes only the emoji would show. For me it works consistently only in Firefox on Desktop, have not tested mobile. I find the old ellipsis menu was much easier to use.

    I would suggest there could be two separate buttons: the old ellipsis menu would be where it was; a new menu for the emoji would show up aligned with the message, to the left of the ellipsis menu.
